History

Utah Dental Lab was established in 1904, by Dr. Charles M. West DDS. Dr. West was sole owner of the business until 1947, when his son George C. West took over ownership. George owned and operated the lab as a dental technician until 1971. George's sons, Bud and John West, joined him in managing and working at the dental lab. Bud West passed away in 1968, leaving John West to continue to operate Utah Dental Lab on his own until 1984. In 1984 John was joined in partnership by Steve Braithwaite (employed 1973-2006) and Mark Zahler (employed 1970 - present). Mark Zahler (CDT retired in 2003) has over 40 years of experience at Utah Dental Lab as a dental technician. Steve Braithwaite was with Utah Dental Lab untill his passing in 2006, when Marilyn Manzullo CDT (Employed 1986 to present), acquired his partnership. Mark and Marliyn remained partners until 2009, when Marliyn became sole owner. Marliyn continues to own and operate the Utah Dental Lab successfully today, with Mark Zahler staying on as director and head of productions.

Utah Dental Lab started operations in downtown Salt Lake City, until 1968, when the business moved to the new location in Holladay, Utah. Utah Dental Lab has been in business for over 100 years, allowing it to establish a high reputation in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding states. Utah Dental Lab is known for the high quality products they produce and the strong relationships they have with their customers. Utah Dental Lab strives to make sure all of their customers' needs are met and thus ensuring Utah Dental Lab will continue to be a thriving business for years to come.
